This class builds on previous conscious communication classes offered by Somseva, but there are no prerequisites. Gregory brings more than 10 years direct experience of working with individuals and groups in conflict situations and helping them to transform those situations so that not only is their resolution, but there is also an expansion in the the relationships of those involved. Of course, transformation of the relationship involves transformation of the self in the process. We ask, “how is this situation calling each of us to grow?” Gregory says “No one has to lose, but everyone has to change.”
In this four-session class you will:
-
See how conflict is not a problem, but is part of the natural evolution of any relationship.
-
Gain tools to navigate conflict in order to see past the surface level of the conflict to the deeper significance it is signaling.
-
Experience the transformational value of conflict by exploring both current and past conflicts in a new light.
-
Learn to hold a bigger space for others in conflict so that rather than adding “fuel to the fire,” you are a mirror for their growth and potential transformation.
-
Discover how to win “with” someone rather than “over” them.
-
Tap into your compassion to take a true interest in the well being of others and have them do that for you.
-
Understand how values are the key to creating win-win instead of focusing on preconceived outcomes.
-
Recognize how your unlimited creativity can empower you to create win-win outcomes in every situation.
-
Become aware that you can change the outward forms of what you and others want, so long as you honor and satisfy the underlying values they represent.
