Cynthia Chang
Dr. Cynthia Chang, OMD, L.AC, RScP. Cynthia is an acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in women’s health and sports related injuries. She had a practice for over 35 years in the San Francisco bay area and lives in Oakland, CA and is a member of the East Bay Church of Religious Science serving in the Youth and Family ministry.
She is one of original board members and serves as the Treasurer. “I love Somseva in creating a World that works for everyone through loving communications and conflict transformation. I know that we are the starseeds of love, joy and peace.” Cynthia spends a lot of time in the garden growing vegetables and flowers for the pollinators. “Each day is promise of transformation into joy and love and my daily practice is meditation on loving kindness and creation of peace here and now.”
Georgiann Kite
Georgiann Kite has an AAS in Law and a Paralegal Certificate. She also has been a Practitioner in the Science of Mind faith for 10 years. She has one grown son and enjoys reading, writing short stories and poems, and being with friends and family.
Maureen McElligott
Rev. Maureen is almost a native of California (first six months in New York state) who grew up in Pasadena, Lakewood, and Fullerton. She is the second of five children, and the only girl. Maureen graduated from the University of Redlands with a BA and MS in Communicative Disorders, and enjoyed a lengthy career as a speech and language pathologist, working at hospitals and public schools. She has two adult sons, who live in Redlands and Cathedral City. Retiring in 2014, she finished ministerial training in 2106 with a Master’s in Consciousness Studies from Holmes Institute. She was an assistant minister in charge of pastoral care at CSL Hemet for one year, while completing two units of clinical pastoral education (chaplaincy) at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She returned to Idyllwild CSL in July 2017, and joined the ministerial team there. She has spoken regularly at Hemet and Idyllwild, as well as doing guest speaking in desert communities and Austin, TX. Currently she is fulfilling her dream of being a hospice chaplain part-time in the Redlands area. She is involved in serving the community with several organizations.
Donna Mosher
Donna Mosher is an editor, ghostwriter, and marketing professional working with progressive ministers and life coaches. She has worked as the publishing manager for United Centers for Spiritual Living, editor in chief of Science of Mind magazine, and senior editor of Spirituality & Health magazine. She is a practicing Religious Scientist and has served on the board of Somseva since 2016.
Gregory Toole
Gregory started his career in the computer industry as a software developer. After completing an MBA at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, he worked in Business Development and Marketing for several Silicon Valley tech companies. After many years in the tech industry, Gregory became interested in how work life could be more fulfilling and personally meaningful. To that end he earned a master’s in Consciousness Studies from Holmes Institute. Gregory’s mission soon became to inspire authentic, compassionate relationships through education, tools, and practice.

Myokei Caine-Barrett
Current Bishop of the Nichiren Order of North America, Myokei Caine-Barrett is also Resident Priest and Guiding Teacher of the Nichiren Buddhist Sangha of Texas and Myoken-ji Temple. She is the first Western woman in the world, and first person of African-Japanese descent, to be ordained in the Nichiren Shu tradition as well as the first female Bishop in NONA. She is engaged in spreading the Dharma behind bars at TDCJ, as well as supporting the healing of emotional issues of military service with Healing Warrior Hearts. She is also engaged in various projects directed at healing racism and the empowerment of BIPOC communities.
